Two passengers killed in aircraft emergency landing in Donetsk, information on four more being checked, says Emergencies Service
The death toll from an emergency landing of a South Airlines aircraft at Donetsk Sergey Prokofiev International Airport has reached two.
The press service of the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine told an Interfax-Ukraine reporter that information on four more passengers of the aircraft is being checked.
According to the emergencies service, there were 45 people on board of the aircraft and 39 of them have been rescued.
Eye-witnesses in Donetsk told the agency's reporter that there was heavy fog over the city on Wednesday evening.
As reported, the state service also said that, according to preliminary information, during the emergency landing the aircraft went outside the runway, turned over and broke apart.
