Ukrnafta receives additional daily flow rate of 75,000 cubic meters of gas thanks to two booster compressor stations

PJSC Ukrnafta installed two booster compressor stations in the west and east of Ukraine and received an additional flow rate of 75,000 cubic meters of gas per day.

"These booster compressor stations in the Ukrnafta equipment fleet are responsible for pumping natural gas from fields into pipelines, through which the resource is supplied to gas pre-treatment units, after which it is sent to gas pipelines and underground storage facilities," the company said in a press release on Friday.

Both stations are leased, and the rental service was purchased through open auction on the ProZorro state platform.

"The productivity of the compressors that were installed earlier was not enough to transfer the entire required volume. And the attraction of additional gas compressor stations made it possible to increase production," Ukrnafta Director Serhiy Koretsky said.

As the company said, the first station in the east of the country pumps an additional 15,000 cubic meters of gas and 1.6 tonnes of condensate daily. It was unloaded with two huge truck cranes due to its heavy weight. The second, in the west, made it possible to achieve additional production of 60,000 cubic meters per day.

"The equipment had to be transported through mountainous terrain to an altitude of 1,080 m above sea level, but Ukrnafta specialists coped with the difficult task and obtained excellent results," the company added.
