Ukrainian developers have concluded the first housing purchase and sale transactions using housing certificates issued as compensation for destroyed housing under the eRecovery program.

Today, housing certificates are used to purchase apartments in finished projects, Hanna Layevska, commercial director of Intergal-Bud company, told the Interfax-Ukraine agency.

“Buyers’ attention is mainly focused on affordable housing in the economy and comfort segments. Currently in the capital region, ready-made apartments in buildings that have already received a certificate of commissioning are available for participation in the program. But we plan to expand the offer with objects at the construction stage. We are talking about projects in Lviv,” she said.

According to Layevska, the first transaction under the program concerned a two-room apartment with a turnkey renovation in the Syretsky Gardens residential complex.

According to developers interviewed by Interfax-Ukraine, buyers with certificates are offered installment plans and loans, the opportunity to use the certificate as a down payment, and in some cases, individual offers and discounts.

The developer Alliance Novobud also concluded the first deal under the eRecovery program: a three-room apartment in a ready-made building in the Madison Gardens residential complex in Brovary was purchased by a family from Kyiv region using a housing certificate.

“There are requests, certificate holders are interested in different formats and classes of housing. Using the eRecovery certificate, you can purchase any residential property in all Alliance Novobud projects. For each individual request, we have individual offers. For example, a discount, installment plan or lending for the remaining amount by banks - partners on special terms,” said Alliance Novobud CMO Iryna Mikhaleva.

According to the press service of the Kovalska Nerukhomist company, when purchasing housing using a certificate in the developer’s projects, all current promotions and discounts are available to clients, including a loyalty program for military personnel and rescue workers. An installment plan option is also available at 0% for up to 3.5 years for an amount exceeding the cost of the certificate.
