Gas reserves in Ukrainian underground storage facilities (UGS) are sufficient to successfully complete the heating season, the Naftogaz group reported, noting that half of the season has already been completed.

"This is already the second winter under conditions of the full-scale invasion. And it is the first in the entire history of independence, which we are going through, using our own gas. Its stocks are sufficient for the successful completion of the heating season," the group said in a report on its Telegram channel on Monday.

As reported, at the end of September 2023, the head of Naftogaz, Oleksiy Chernyshov, said that for the first time Ukraine would pass the upcoming heating season only using its own gas.

In early November, with reference to the Ministry of Energy, gas stocks in underground gas storage facilities were at 16.02 billion cubic meters. The gas accumulation plan at the beginning of the winter period was 14.7 billion cubic meters. At the same time, it was reported with reference to GTSOU that more than 3 billion cubic meters were pumped for storage in underground gas storage facilities by European companies.

At the beginning of October, Naftogaz said that it plans to sign agreements with 1,264 heat producers. The price of gas for the provision of services for the supply of thermal energy and hot water to households remained at UAH 7,420 per 1,000 cubic meters (including VAT).
