Lugano Business Forum on May 11-12 to discuss participation of business in Ukraine's recovery

Swiss Lugano, where the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC2022) was held in July 2022 and the relevant Lugano Principles were adopted, will host the first Lugano Business Forum on May 11-12.

"The forum will bring together representatives from European businesses, primarily from Switzerland and Ukraine, associations, organizations, government officials, and leaders of opinions to discuss pressing issues concerning private sector participation in real projects for Ukraine's post-war recovery," the forum said in an announcement.

It is organized by the Ukrainian-Swiss Business Association, the Swiss Trade Association SGV and the Blockchain Association of Ukraine.

The Lugano Business Forum is officially recognized as part of URC2023 and a stage in the preparation of the main Ukraine Recovery Conference, which this year will be held on June 21-22 in London.

The Lugano Business Forum is being held in order to allow foreign business and capital access to the largest global project of the next decade: the restoration and transformation of Ukraine, the organizers said.

The forum will discuss seven key topics: EnergyTech and Manufacturing, foodTech, Digital, FinTech and IT, healthTech and biotech, construction and development, venture capital and startups, as well as mining and raw materials.

Among the speakers are the heads of the Ministry of Restoration Oleksandr Kubrakov, the Ministry of Natural Resources Roman Strilets, the Ministry of Strategic Industry Oleksandr Kamyshin, the State Geological Fund Roman Opimakh, mayor of Zhytomyr Serhiy Sukhomlyn.

The business will be represented, in particular, by CEO of Oschadbank Serhiy Naumov, Founding and Managing Partner of TA Ventures Viktoriya Tigipko, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of EFI Group Igor Liski, CEO of UMGI Andriy Gorokhov, co-owner of HD Group and GFS Group Borys Shestopalov, CEO of Geo Alliance Liudmyla Kuchmenko, CEO and APK-Resource owner Daria Didkovskaya, and others.
