Ukraine exports almost 32 mln tonnes of grain since early 2022/2023 MY – Ministry of Agrarian Policy

From the beginning of the 2022/2023 marketing year (MY, July-June) and until February 27, Ukraine exported 31.78 million tonnes of grain crops, including 18.2 million tonnes of corn (57.2% of total supplies), 11.24 million tonnes of wheat (35.6%) and 2.05 million tonnes of barley (6.4%).

According to the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food on Monday, since the beginning of the current marketing year, the rate of grain exports is 26.9% lower than in the same period of the previous marketing year, when 43.52 million tonnes were delivered abroad on the specified date. Thus, on February 27, the minimum lagging of export volumes for the season from the last season's indicators was reached. For comparison, the previous smallest gap from last year's indicator in the amount of "minus" 28.65% was recorded on February 13.

According to the ministry, from the beginning of 2022/2023 MY and until February 27 this year, Ukraine exported 18.2 million tonnes of corn (5.8% less compared to the same period a year earlier), 11.24 million tonnes of wheat (1.61 times less), 2.05 million tonnes of barley (2.75 times less), 15,800 tonnes of rye (10.2 times less) and 97,700 tonnes of flour (43.7% more).

It is specified that since the beginning of February, Ukraine has exported 4.7 million tonnes of grain, including 2.94 million tonnes of corn, 1.51 million tonnes of wheat, 229,000 tonnes of barley, 15,300 tonnes of flour and 3,000 tonnes of rye.
