The Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Ukraine has created state-owned enterprise (SOE) ProZorro.Sales to replace the pilot project ProZorros.Sale.

"Thus, the pilot project of ProZorro.Sale is winding up, and the reform of public procurement transfers to a new stage," the ministry said on its website on Tuesday.

The new public company is subordinate to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine. The establishment of the state enterprise pursues the following goals: to create a single state auction system, to consolidate procedures and processes, and to provide the technical, legal and organizational development of the system.

Senior Project Manager of ProZorro.Sales Oleksiy Sobolev was appointed acting director of the state-owned enterprise.

The control over the enterprise will be carried out by an independent supervisory board, which will comprise representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, as well as three independent experts, who will be selected through an open competition. In addition, representatives of the Individuals' Deposit Guarantee Fund will be invited to participate in the supervisory board.

Sobolev said that SOE ProZorro.Sales plans to launch a pilot project to lease wagons of Ukrzaliznytsia in 2018 and a project with the State Service for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre.
