Ukraine to agree on new programs of financing infrastructure projects on border - Groysman

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman has said Ukraine intends to agree on new programs for financing infrastructure projects on the state border.

"Unfortunately, the side of the program was the State Fiscal Service. The service failed to organize work, and in fact we realized that it would be practically impossible to implement this program. New head of the State Fiscal Service Myroslav Prodan tried to save this situation, but considering the procedures it became impossible," Groysman told journalists during a working trip to Sumy region.

The prime minister stressed Ukraine tried to maintain the program.

He added that a new program is possible, regarding which Ukraine will talk with its European partners.

"We will still develop cross-border checkpoints, including bilateral relations," the premier said.

As reported, earlier some foreign mass media reported that the EU was closing the project of modernization of border checkpoints with Ukraine. The matter concerned the project to modernize six Ukrainian checkpoints on the eastern border of the EU, which started in 2014.

Then the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine refuted the information that appeared in foreign media.
