The strategy for the further development of state-owned banks is expected to be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers in one or two weeks, Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk has said.

"We had a very high-quality, constructive discussion. All are aimed at the result. We've agreed that within three days we will get proposals from people's deputies [concerning the strategy of state banks], after which we will process and submit them to the Cabinet," he told reporters after a meeting of the parliamentary committee on financial policy and banking in Kyiv.

Acting Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Yakiv Smolii also confirmed the corresponding agreement.

"We've discussed the position of the Ministry of Finance on the strategy of state-owned banks. There were active discussions. Within three days the Ministry of Finance will receive proposals from the National Bank, people's deputies, and submit the document to the Cabinet for approval," he said.
