Naftogaz claiming $16 bln from Gazprom in arbitration over transit contract
Naftogaz Ukrainy is claiming $16 billion from Gazprom over a natural gas contract.
Naftogaz's press service told Interfax-Ukraine that it expects a ruling from the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce on February 28, 2018.
Naftogaz wants to bring the transit contract in line with European antimonopoly and energy laws and force Gazprom to provide shipper codes. Naftogaz's financial claims relate to the short-shipment and underpayment for transit services via Ukraine's gas transportation system.
