Kyiv city's draft budget for 2018 announces almost UAH 50 bln of revenue

On December 12 the budget commission of the Kyiv City Council discussed the draft budget for 2018, according to which revenue are announced in the amount of over UAH 49 billion, the press service of the Kyiv City Council has reported.

"Revenue of the city next year would be UAH 49.1 billion. Our top priority remains the stability of basic taxation rates and the improvement of administration in some directions. In general, it is planned that the budget 2018 figures would exceed current figures by UAH 2.9 billion. I would say that another UAH 600 million could be received next year thanks to a customs experiment," Chairman of the permanent budget commission Andriy Strannikov said.

Current expenses would be UAH 38.8 billion and capital expenditure would be UAH 10.3 billion.

"In general, next year city authorities plan to inject more funds for education of Kyiv residents. The sector will be financed by UAH 13.6 billion. We plan to send UAH 9.2 billion for healthcare and UAH 8.6 billion for social protection of residents," he said.

Almost UAH 5 billion will be sent to the transport sector. This is more than in all the previous years, the Kyiv authorities said.

The housing and utilities sphere would receive UAH 1.6 billion, culture would have almost UAH 1 billion and sports – UAH 500 million.
