The State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPF) has announced a tender to select an appraiser for a part of the coolant system of Chornobyl nuclear power plant (NPP) located on 2,500 square meters for placing a solar power plant, acting SPF Head Vitaliy Trubarov has written on his Facebook page.

"The documents from companies intending to appraise the assets can be submitted until December 12. The tender will be held on December 18," he said.

As reported, Solar Chornobyl LLC won a tender for the right to rent part of the engineering construction of cooling systems for objects at Chornobyl NPP with an area of 2,500 square meters.

Earlier Solar Chornobyl rented part of the concrete site near the construction of the second-order switchgear with an area of 1.7 hectares in Prypiat.

The only beneficiary of Solar Chornobyl, according to the state register, is Yevhen Variahin, the former project manager for solar power plants at Activ Solar (controlled by the Kliuyev brothers).

At the same time, the State Agency of Ukraine for Exclusion Zone Management said Solar Chornobyl is a joint project of the Enerparc AG-Rodina Energy Group consortium.
