Ukrtransgaz raises capital investment in GTS by almost 1.5 times in nine months

PJSC Ukrtransgaz in January-September 2017 increased capital investments in the gas transportation system (GTS) of Ukraine by 46% (by UAH 485 million) compared to the same period last year, to UAH 1.54 billion, the press service of the company has said.

According to the press service, in the third quarter of 2017, according to the plan of capital investments, work worth UAH 350 million was carried out.

In addition, financing for the repair and maintenance program in the first nine months of this year amounted to UAH 789 million (2.8% down from January-September 2016), while the program of provision with material and technical resources some UAH 743 million (1.6% up).

"Over the past two years, financing of production programs for modernization and technical support of the GTS has been significantly increased. This makes it possible to extend the period of reliable operation of Ukrtransgaz's gas transportation infrastructure for decades, thereby guaranteeing stable gas transportation to both European and Ukrainian consumers," the company said.

Ukrtransgaz, 100% owned by Naftogaz Ukrainy, operates a system of trunk gas pipelines and 12 underground gas storage facilities in the country with a total capacity of 31 billion cubic meters.
