Italian airline Ernest will fly from Kyiv to Naples and Bergamo

Ernest Airlines (Italy) has announced the expansion of its presence in Ukraine, from December 8 adding new routes that will connect Naples and Bergamo with Lviv and Kyiv by three weekly flights, as well as Venice and Lviv with two weekly flights.

According to the press service of Kyiv Zhuliany International Airport, the first flight from Italy to Ukraine took place on October 20, 2017 on the route Bergamo-Lviv with two weekly flights, and from December one more flight per week will be added.

The first flight to Kyiv Airport will be held from Milan on December 9.

"Passenger traffic at Kyiv Airport continues to grow, new airlines appear. We can say that the introduction of a visa-free regime with the EU countries has increased the number of passengers by 10-15%. In addition, European airlines are interested in the Ukrainian market, and our passengers are interested in Italian destinations," Oleksiy Yakovets, the director general of Master-Avia, managing the airport, said.

Ernest Airlines is an Italian airline, whose headquarters is located in Milan. The main operational center of the company is located in Tirana (Albania).

The airline is a low cost carrier, serves the Italian and Albanian market. Its fleet consists of two aircraft: Airbus-319 and Airbus-320.
