Public joint-stock company Ukrzaliznytsia has announced Deloitte a winner of an auction in the ProZorro e-procurement system to provide consultations in analysis and improvement of corporate governance and legislative base to the company.

Ukrzaliznytsia said in a press release that the advisor will help the company to improve corporate governance in line with global experience and commonly accepted international standards.

The advisor is to draw up a detailed corporate governance action plan, determine risks and profound vulnerabilities that should be removed.

The company recalled that under a government decision an interagency working group to conduct corporate governance reform at Ukrzaliznytsia was created. The group is chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Volodymyr Kistion. It consists of representatives of the government, the Economic Development and Trade Ministry, Ukrzaliznytsia, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and corporate governance advisors.
