Ukrainians buy $2.4 mln more currency than sell in Oct - NBU

Ukrainians in October 2017 bought currency from banks for the equivalent of $712 million, while sold for $709.6 million, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) reported on its website.

According to its data, in comparison with September this year the volume of currency purchases increased by 6.9%, sales by 0.49%.

The NBU specifies that Ukrainians last month bought U.S. dollars for $571.1 million, while sold for $539.1 million.

Since the beginning of the year Ukrainians have sold to banks $2.033 billion more currency than bought.
