The government has approved an additional list of regional development investment projects with the volume of financing of more than UAH 98 million within the State Regional Development Fund, the press service of Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Services of Ukraine Hennadiy Zubko has said.

"These funds will be spent on such investment programs as construction and reconstruction of social facilities (hospitals, schools, polyclinics), restoration of the bridge infrastructure, thermal modernization, etc. As a whole, almost 800 investment projects in the regions of Ukraine will be financed within the framework of the State Regional Development Fund in 2017," Zubko said.

According to him, the draft regulation on financing at the expense of the State Regional Development Fund includes thermal modernization of schools in Vinnytsia, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Odesa and Ternopil regions, reconstruction of medical institutions, kindergartens, schools, stadiums in Zaporizhia, Odesa, Poltava and Chernihiv regions, reconstruction of bridges in Luhansk region, construction of sports grounds with artificial surface in Kherson region.

The press service noted the total amount of financing within the State Regional Development Fund for 2017 is UAH 3.5 billion.
