PJSC Ukrtelecom in the third quarter of 2017 received a net profit of UAH 283.27 million, which is four times more than net profit for the third quarter of last year (UAH 70.63 million), the company said in a statement in the information disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission.

According to it, net income for the third quarter decreased by 5.3%, to UAH 1.473 billion, while gross profit increased by 18.5%, to UAH 638.2 million, and operating profit almost tripled, to UAH 438 million.

In general, for the first nine months of 2017 Ukrtelecom managed to increase its profit in comparison with the same period last year by almost 2.6 times, to UAH 638.54 million, while net income decreased by 2.7%, to UAH 4.627 billion.

Gross profit since the beginning of the year increased by 18.2%, to UAH 1.989 billion, operating profit was up by 81.4%, to UAH 1.073 billion.

According to the report, revenues from local traffic and subscriber fee in the nine months fell by 19.2%, to UAH 1.803 billion, and its share in the total revenue structure decreased from 47% to 39%. Revenues from services to foreign operators also fell significantly, by 35%, to UAH 391.96 million, which led to a decrease in their share from 13% to 8%.

The share of Internet services in revenues remained the same at 28% with a small decrease in their volume, by 0.4%, to UAH 1.313 billion, while income from long-distance and international traffic almost doubled, to UAH 434.76 million, and its share in revenues increased from 5% to 9%.
