Cabinet proposes raising funding for PGO, NABU, NACP, cutting for SAPO in 2018

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has proposed the Verkhovna Rada to allocate UAH 857 million for the activities of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), UAH 683.5 million for the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) and UAH 116 million for the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) in 2018.

Such a norm is fixed in the draft national budget for 2018 registered under No. 7000 in the Verkhovna Rada on September 15, 2017.

It is planned to raise funding for the NACP to UAH 683.5 million, which is UAH 78 million more than in 2017, of which UAH 513.67 million is to be used to finance the statutory activity of political parties (UAH 71 million more than in 2017).

Compared to 2017, funding for the NABU is to be grow by UAH 83.5 million, SAPO to decline by almost UAH 3.3 million.

Financing for the PGO is to amount to UAH 6.65 billion, which is UAH 946.3 million more than in 2017.
