Farmak mulling placing contract production in Ukraine and Europe

PJSC Farmak pharmaceutical company (Kyiv) does not plan to organize contract production at its own production facilities for other pharmaceutical companies due to capacity shortages, while it is mulling the possibility of placing orders at the facilities of partner companies, company CEO Augustin Dubnicka has said.

"If to talk about contract production for other companies, at present we are not able to fulfill contracts of this type - we have a shortage of capacities. Sales are growing, and we have a choice: to look for partners, placing orders at the production sites of other companies, or build new facilities," he said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

Dubnicka reported at present the company is testing the possibility of placing its contract production in Ukraine and Europe.

"First of all, we are talking about the production of solid dosage forms - granules and tablets," he said.

The expert said "this is not an easy decision, as it is made for many years to come and influences our range of products, on what preparations we will register and where."
