The Kyiv District Administrative Court has invalidated government decree No. 52 dated January 18, 2017 on amendments to the statute of PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia, which provides for the withdrawal of Ukrzaliznytsia from subordination of the Infrastructure Ministry, Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan has said.

"Ministry representatives have received the judgment, according to which the court declared illegal the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers on the withdrawal of PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia from the jurisdiction of the Infrastructure Ministry," Omelyan wrote on his Facebook page.

"The court also recognized the illegality of actions of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade in part of preparation and submission of the relevant draft decision to the government. The court found numerous violations of the law, in particular, inconsistency of the draft resolution with the relevant authorities, a failure to conduct a legal examination by the Justice Ministry. In addition, the draft document was not considered at a meeting of the government committee and was not put on the agenda of the next meeting of the Cabinet," the minister added.
