Consumer sentiment in June reaches highest level in three years

The consumer sentiment index in Ukraine increased by 1.4 points in June, to 59.4 (on a scale of 0 to 200), which is 6.7 points higher than in June 2016, according to a monthly survey by GfK Ukraine.

"In June 2017, the consumer sentiment index reached the highest level in the last three years, which was facilitated by a significant decrease in devaluation expectations," analysts note.

According to the survey, the index of devaluation expectations dropped by 9.1 points, to 133.6.

Its authors indicate that the index of the current state in June this year increased by 1 point, to 52.3, which is due to the increase in the index of expediency of large purchases by 2.3 points, to 57. The second component of the current state index also improved: Ukrainians increased the assessment of their current financial state by 0.2 points, to 47.5.
