Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Economy Ministry of Ukraine has signed the agreement of cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), part of the World Bank group, the press service of the ministry reported on Thursday.

According to the report, the key directions of cooperation between the ministry and the IFC will be the improvement of Ukraine's position in Doing Business and the conditions for construction in the country, energy efficiency reform in housing sector and removal of corruption in town planning.

Head of Advisory Programs in Europe and Central Asia, Department of Trade and Competitiveness of the World Bank Group Lisa Kestner said that the World Bank is actively cooperating with the Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Economy Ministry in relaxing regulation and the permit system, attracting new investment and creating new jobs. This is a good signal for citizens and construction business in general, she said.
