The review of the price of Russian gas for Ukraine under the decision of the Stockholm Arbitration concerns the period from April 2014, Chief Commercial Director of Naftogaz Ukrainy Yuriy Vitrenko has said in an interview with the Novoye Vremia (New Time) edition.

"We asked that the price be revised. This requirement was met starting from April 2014. Unfortunately, not since 2011, as it as stated in our lawsuit. And we asked for the European price minus the cost of transportation. But the arbitration said: just a European price. Because of the Kharkiv discount in 2011-2014 it is not obvious that until April 2014 the price under the contract was higher than the level of European prices. So, the price will be revised only from April 2014," he said.

According to Vitrenko, Naftogaz is entitled to compensation due to overpayment for gas in the fourth quarter of 2014 and in 2015. At the same time, Gazprom will be able to receive an additional payment for gas supplies in the second quarter of 2014.

"When we determine the details of payments, it will be clear how many, who owes and to whom," he said.
