Ukrposhta to continue international money transfer, including to Russia and CIS

Public joint-stock company Ukrposhta will continue international money transfer, including to Russia and the CIS, despite the fact that on March 22, 2017 Russia's State Duma passed at third reading the bill banning money transfer from Russia to other states, including Ukraine, using foreign payment systems.

The press service of Ukrposhta reported that the ban considerably restricts the possibilities of transferring funds from Russia to Ukraine and back.

Ukrposhta said that all its postal bank transfers are settled via the international financial system of the Universal Postal Union between postal departments.

"We continue accepting and paying international postal bank transfers both in foreign and national currency in the usual mode. The coverage and the network of 11,500 departments allow delivering the transfer to any point in the country. Ukrposhta invites to use the service, as along with convenience and affordable tariffs it can offer the unique door-to-door delivery," Director of the financial business department Artur Muravytsky said.

Ukrposhta is managed by Infrastructure Ministry. It provides over 50 types of services in almost 12,000 departments all over Ukraine.
