Ukrzaliznytsia sees revenues rise by 18.5%, EBITDA by 31.7% in Jan-Feb

PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia in January-February 2017 received UAH 12.1 billion of income, which is 18.5% more than in the same period in 2016.

Ukrzaliznytsia Head Wojciech Balczun wrote on his Facebook page revenues from transportation amounted to UAH 10.7 billion, which is 26.7% more than in the two months of 2016.

EBITDA for the period increased by 31.7%, to UAH 3.5 billion, EBITDA margin stood at 29.63%.

In the freight carriage segment, for the two months of 2017 the company transported 53.8 million tonnes of cargo, which is 9% more than in the two months in 2106. Cargo turnover increased by 13.8%, to 31.199 billion tonne-kilometers.

In the period the railways carried 28.6 million passengers that is 1.2% more than in the two months in 2016. Passenger turnover amounted to 3.535 billion passenger-kilometers, which is 3.5% more than in the corresponding period of 2016.

According to live data, for the two months in 2017 PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia used 2.8 times more capital investments than in the same period of 2016, however the company head did not provide the absolute figure.
