The Cabinet of Ministers has authorized Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelyan to sign a financial agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB) on the project of urban transport development in the cities of Ukraine.

Omelyan said, introducing the draft resolution of the Cabinet, the agreement is to be signed during the visit of the EIB president to Ukraine, which will take place in late October-early November.

"Its implementation will allow creating conditions for providing the population with high-quality transportation by bus, tram, trolleybus and subway, taking into account the needs of people with disabilities and other low mobile groups. To ensure the stable operation and further development of passenger transport, raise the level of technical electric equipment of enterprises, as well as investment in the infrastructure of cities," Omelyan said.
