Ukraine's Health Ministry has signed an agreement to buy medicines using the 2016 national budget funds with UNICEF, acting Health Minister Ulana Suprun has said on Facebook.

"UNICEF, as well as UNDP [United Nations Development Programme], were involved in medicine procurement using 2015 [budget] funds and helped our patients to receive high-quality medicines. We are convinced that this time our cooperation will be also effective and useful for all Ukrainians," she said.

Since early 2016, UNICEF supplied 72% of medicines bought using 2015 budget funds. International organizations supplied 92% of medicines over the period under review.

As reported, in the middle of October the Health Ministry signed an agreement to buy medicines using the 2016 budget funds with UNDP.
