Kyiv's business court of appeals has annulled a joint operation agreement between public joint-stock company Ukrgasvydobuvannia and Nadra Geocenter LLC (Kyiv region, under control of Oleksandr Onyschenko).

The decision dated August 9, 2016 has been published in the public rulings register.

"To annul the agreement on joint operations No. 265-12 dated November 19, 2007 signed by subsidiary of Naftogaz Ukrainy Ukrgasvydobuvannia and Nadra Geocenter LLC," the court said.

The ground for the verdict was non-performance of works at joint sites (the company refused to install gas meters at some wells) and other infringements.

On June 22, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) exposed organizers of a scheme to steal money from natural gas production and sales under cooperation contracts with PJSC Ukrgazvydobuvannia, which resulted in around UAH 3 billion in damage to the state. On July 5, Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada agreed to the prosecution, apprehension and arrest of its member Onyschenko, the chief suspect in the scam.
