Groysman calls on U.S. companies to invest in Ukraine

Ukraine's Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has called on U.S. companies to invest in Ukraine.

"Deregulation, customs reform – these are the steps that will create predictable and stable development in Ukraine, which will provide clear rules of the game in Ukraine, so today I call to invest in Ukraine," he said at the annual conference of the Center for the U.S.-Ukrainian Relations in Washington, DC.

The prime minister said that there is great potential for increasing U.S. investment in Ukraine. "Ukraine has great potential, we hope to unlock it and create a favorable climate for business. Our priority is to fight corruption. Business should be secure in the knowledge that their investments are safe. At a recent meeting with businessmen, I promised I will personally take the first serious investors by the hand and bring then through all the hurdles which still remain," Groysman said.

The prime minister thanked the U.S. for the assistance it provides in carrying out reforms in Ukraine, creating a new police force and training of the Armed Forces.
