DTEK Dniproenergo posts UAH 4 bln net loss in 2015

Energy generating company PJSC DTEK Dniproenergo (Zaporizhia) in 2015 saw net losses rise by 68.4 times compared to 2014, to UAH 4.024 billion.

According to the announcement of a general shareholders' meeting scheduled for April 18, the company's total assets in 2015 increased by 21% compared to 2014, to UAH 14.569 billion, fixed assets by 1.9 times, to UAH 9.842 billion.

Total debtor indebtedness decreased by 1.6 times last year, to UAH 1.881 billion. Current liabilities increased by 34.3%, to UAH 5.202 billion, long-term liabilities were up by 2.2 times, to UAH 1.373 billion.

The number of employees at the plant in 2015 decreased to 4,366 people from 3,809.

Dniproenergo is one of the largest energy companies in Ukraine. It owns and operates 25 power units at Zaporizhia and Kryvy Rih thermal power plants, and Dnipropetrovsk-based Prydniprovska thermal power plant with a combined installed capacity of 8.185 GW. DTEK owns 72.9% shares of Dniproenergo, and 25% belongs to the state.
