Energoatom opens UAH 70 mln credit line at Diamantbank, plans to raise UAH 700 mln from Oschadbank

National Nuclear Generating Company Energoatom has opened a multicurrency credit line of UAH 70 million in equivalent at Diamantbank (Kyiv).

According to the public procurement portal, the sides signed the agreement on February 12, 2016.

The cost of servicing the one-year credit line will be UAH 16.87 million (VAT not included).

Energoatom on February 10 accepted the offer of state-run Oschadbank (Kyiv) to open two one-year credit lines worth UAH 300 million and UAH 400 million at 25% per annum.

The company annulled a tender to raise $50 million as less than two bids were submitted during the tender.

Energoatom is the operator of all four Ukrainian-based operating nuclear power plants, which have 15 VVER reactors with an overall generating capacity of 13.835 gigawatts.

Diamantbank was registered by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) in November 1993. According to the bank, as of March 8, 2015 its largest shareholders were Ihor Kerez (46.48% indirectly), Davyd Zhvaniya (23.81%), Andriy Schukin and Viacheslav Tsyhanenko (12.28% each indirectly). The bank ranked 26th among 123 operating banks as of October 1, 2015, in terms of total assets worth UAH 6.068 billion, according to the NBU.

Oschadbank was founded in 1991. It is wholly owned by the state. Oschadbank ranked second among 123 operating banks in the country on October 1, 2015 by total assets (UAH 156.596 billion), according to the NBU.
