The general tariff for natural gas transportation by pipelines for Ukrainian consumers will be increased by 6.3% from January 1, 2016, from UAH 689.10 to UAH 732.70 per 1,000 cubic meters (VAT not included).

According to the decision of the National Commission National Commission for Energy, Housing and Utilities Services Regulation made on Tuesday, average tariff for gas transportation via trunk pipelines for public joint-stock company Ukrtransgaz will not change from January 1, 2016, being UAH 236.70 per 1,000 cubic meters (VAT not included), while the tariff for gas transportation via distribution pipelines will grow by 9.6%, from UAH 452.40 to UAH 496 per 1,000 cubic meters (VAT not included).

The single general tariff for gas transportation in Ukraine is the sum of average calculated tariff for gas transportation by trunk pipelines and average calculated tariff for transportation of gas by distribution pipelines.

In addition, the tariff for transportation of natural gas for consumers directly connected to trunk pipelines is retained at UAH 615.10 per 1,000 (VAT not included).

From October 1, 2015, the commission has no right to set the tariffs for supply of natural gas under the regulated tariff.
