PJSC Ukrainska Zaliznytsia, which is being created as part of the corporatization of State Railways Administration of Ukraine Ukrzaliznytsia, was registered on October 21, 2015.

"We've just registered the following legal entity: public joint-stock company Ukrainska Zaliznytsia. Happy birthday, PJSC UZ!" Infrastructure Minister Andriy Pyvovarsky wrote on his Facebook page.

According to a press release issued by Ukrzaliznytsia, the registration was carried out by the department for state registration of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs in Pechersky district of the registration service of the main territorial department of justice in Kyiv.

The abbreviated name of the company is PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia. The founder of the company is the state of Ukraine represented by the Cabinet of Ministers, the company's charter capital amounts to UAH 229.879 billion.

In addition, the company board at its first meeting on October 21 decided to appeal to the Ministry of Infrastructure with a request to initiate the election of board chairman of PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia according to tender procedures established by law.
