Investigation of Ukrenergo finished – company

Investigative activities in the central office of national energy company Ukrenergo have finished, the press service of the company reported on October 6.

"At present, the investigative activities in the company's office have been finished. During the searches, no stamps, PCs, electronic data storage media, or other tangible assets were seized," reads the report.

"Ukrenergo's staff provided full cooperation to the representatives of the investigation agencies. Documents that confirm the carrying out financial and economic operations were presented, access to all premises, PCs and servers investigators were interested in was allowed," the company said.

On October 5, 2015, officers of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine headed by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine conducted searches of the offices and residences of officials of the state enterprise and some commercial structures.

A pretrial investigation established that in 2010-2014 Ukrenergo officials, in collusion with heads of commercial structures, organized tenders to buy goods, labor and services at high prices.

The Public Prosecutor's Office will decide on further actions against Ukrenergo officials in the near future, the Interior Ministry said.

Ukrenergo operates Ukraine's backbone and interstate power grid and supervises the country's national grid. It is a state-owned company and is controlled by the Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Ministry.
