New car sales in Ukraine in July 54% up from June

The new cars market in Ukraine in July saw sales increase by 54.3% compared to June this year, to 5,210 cars, while the decline in sales compared to the same month last year amounted to 9.8%, according to the AUTO-Consulting website.

"Against the backdrop of 70-80% at the beginning of the year - this is virtually nothing," experts reported on their website, noting the sales growth in July from June was "impetuous."

As reported, according to the group, in June Ukraine sold 3,376 cars, which is 17.8% more than in May 2015, but 58% less than in June 2014.

According to AUTO-Consulting, growth in sales was recorded in all top 25 brands without exception, "which indicates a clear and pronounced trend towards the recovery of the automotive market."

The increase in sales and the number of customers in car showrooms is fixed across the country.

At the same time, analysts noted the tightening of competition in the market - if the top three brands remained unchanged - Toyota, Renault and ZAZ, then other positions on the market changed.

Ford cars ranked fourth in July (in June this position was held by Nissan), while Mazda ranked fifth (in June the position was held by Hyundai).

French brands were also active in July - Peugeot improved its position by seven points and returned to the top ten, demonstrating the highest growth rate among all the brands.
