Boom in demand on energy saving equipment in Ukraine - expert

Ukraine is on the threshold of an energy saving boom and high competition among energy saving equipment manufacturers is can be observed on the market, Board Chairman of public joint-stock company Frunze Plant (Kharkiv) Oleksandr Vasylenko has said.

This became obvious at the Aquatherm 2015 exhibition recently held in Kyiv, the company said in a press release on Monday, referring to Vasylenko.

"We first presented a new product at the exhibition – pellet boilers, and we see that intense competitive fight is in the segment. Everyone expects that this summer demand will be high, before the heating season, taking into account the sharp rise in gas tariffs," the press service said, citing Vasylenko.

He also said that demand on pellet boilers is stimulated by the government program on partial compensation of expenses to buy energy saving equipment for the public – up to 30% of the cost of the credit to buy boilers, but no more than UAH 5,000.

He said that under the program Oschadbank has started crediting citizens who buy boilers that consume any type of fuel and energy, apart from natural gas, and the price of the Ukrainian-made boilers does not exceed UAH 20,000.

He said that despite the fact that dozens of national manufacturers produce similar equipment, there will be enough space on the market, as the conditions for a consumer boom have been created.

He said that not all companies meet the requirements of consumers and are competitive on the market.

Vasylenko said that the new product of the plant meets the requirements of consumers and it has an automated turn off system and easy fuel loading system.
