Atlasjet Ukraine will contest in court State Aviation Service's refusing to issue permits for air routes

Atlasjet Ukraine (Lviv) has filed an appeal against the decision of the Kyiv District Administrative Court, according to which the joint commission of the Infrastructure Ministry and the State Aviation Service on the formation and implementation of state policy for air routes operation cannot make decisions on issuing permits to airlines to operate air routes.

According to the text of the appeal, which has been sent to Interfax-Ukraine, the court decided that the commission has no right to issue such permits because, according to the new Air Code, regulation in the field of civil aviation is performed by the authorized body on civil aviation - the State Aviation Service.

Lawyer of the Marchenko Danevych law firm Andriy Huk told Interfax-Ukraine that the court's decision was a surprise to Atlasjet Ukraine, as the question of competence for the issue of such permits has not been discussed, the court had no questions on the matter.

Atlasjet Ukraine noted in the appeal that the competence of the State Aviation Service does not cover setting the order and terms of issuing and annulling rights to use air routes.
