Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine Maksym Burbak at a meeting of the expert council on the development of rail transport has instructed the ministry and Ukrzaliznytsia to study the issue of launching Intercity+ high-speed daily trains on the routes of Kyiv-Kryvy Rih and Kyiv-Kryvy Rih-Nikopol, head of the expert council Oleksandr Kava wrote on Facebook.

In addition, he said that the expert council for the development of rail transport recommended Ukrzaliznytsia change the route of Slobozhanschyna train No. 111/112 Kharkiv-Lviv so that this train could run through Zhytomyr.

This, he said, would provide the residents of Zhytomyr with a daily connection to Poltava, Kharkiv, Kyiv and Lviv, as Zhytomyr has almost no direct railway communication other cities in Ukraine, except for Vinnytsia and Odesa.

At present the Ukrainian High-Speed Railway Company has 12 Intercity+ trains: ten trains produced by Korea's Hyundai Rotem and two trains produced by Kriukov Car Building Works.
