Ukraine's Cabinet has made UAH 598.9 million available to the law enforcement agencies to buy weapons and military hardware, including UAH 200 million intended for the Defense Ministry and the rest for the Interior Ministry and the State Border Service.

Correspondent cabinet resolution No. 652-r on the allocation of funds to buy weapons and military hardware was signed by Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk on July 17, 2014.

The Finance Ministry was instructed to take these resources from the reserve fund of the national budget.

The defense and interior ministries, and the administration of the State Border Service were given three days to negotiate the list of spending items with the economic development and finance ministries. A report on the relevant spending is to be provided to the economic development and finance ministries, and to the State Treasury by December 28, 2014.
