Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk will present draft amendments to the state budget for 2014 at a government meeting on Wednesday.

"The government has prepared a draft on the introduction of amendments to the state budget, and tomorrow I will report on it to members of the Cabinet of Ministers. The economic conditions are very difficult. We need to finance the army, we need to finance defense. These are the costs that nobody expected. And we also have to finance the reconstruction and restoration of Donbas," he told reporters on Wednesday on Mount Karachun (Sloviansk district, Donetsk region).

He also said that the amount of UAH 8 billion would not be enough to restore Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

"We have preliminary estimates, at first glance, UAH 8 billion on Donetsk and Luhansk. However, the military conflict continues, and I think that UAH 8 billion will at best be enough for two months," Yatseniuk said.
