Yatseniuk earns nearly UAH 2 mln in 2013 – income declaration

Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk declared almost UAH 2 million as his gross personal income for 2013, the information and public liaisons department of the Cabinet of Ministers has reported.

"The total amount of Arseniy Yatseniuk's personal income for 2013 was UAH 1,954,232. This amount includes his salary as a people's deputy of Ukraine (UAH 812,150), interest on bank deposits (UAH 614,320) and income from the sale of movable property (UAH 980,000)," reads a statement released on the government's Web site on Monday.

Yatseniuk also declared UAH 209,100, which, according to Verkhovna Rada resolution No. 420-18 of July 4, 2013 on the estimate of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for 2013, was allocated for the implementation of parliamentary activities.

"These funds were directed to the work of public reception offices," the government's press service reported.

The gross income of his wife, Tereziya Yatseniuk, for 2013 amounted to UAH 643,204. This amount includes income from business activities (UAH 557,284) and interest on bank deposits (UAH 85,920).

"As in the previous year, Yatseniuk owns a land plot 3,012 square meters, a 298-square-meter residential house, three apartments with a total area of 342 square meters (two in Kyiv and a share in an apartment in Chernivtsi), a 114-square-meter garden house and a 45-square-meter garage," reads the statement.

In his declaration Yatseniuk pointed to the sale of a vehicle – a Range Rover (income from the sale of movable property – UAH 980,000), as well as the acquisition of a 2010 Mercedes S car for UAH 610,000.

Yatseniuk has UAH 6,610,504 on accounts in banks, whereas his wife has UAH 1,062,670.

"Yatseniuk has filled in an income declaration for the thirteenth consecutive year, as he has been a civil servant since 2001," reads the statement.
