Azarov to represent Ukraine at World Economic Forum in Davos

The schedule of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych does not foresee his participation in the World Economic Forum in Davos (Switzerland), the presidential press service said in a response to the information request from Interfax-Ukraine on Thursday.

"Due to the delay in the adoption of the state budget for 2014 in January this year there is a need for the head of state to urgently work on regional budgets with the leadership of the regions. In particular, the issue concerns the development of regional development programs for each region, an increase in social standards, the settlement of problems in the regions and other urgent state affairs, which Viktor Yanukovych plans to realize in 2014," reads the response.

According to the response, "Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, First Deputy Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov and Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara will represent Ukraine at the forum in Davos."

The World Economic Forum in Davos will be held on January 22-25.
