Inkerman International says its products delayed at Russian customs checkpoint

1 min read

Several trucks with products of Inkerman International, one of the largest wine producers in Ukraine, have been stopped at a Russian customs checkpoint, the company's press service has told Interfax-Ukraine.

"The Inkerman International group of companies confirms that several trucks with its products indeed failed to pass through customs clearance in Russia and had to leave the goods in temporary warehouses," the press service said.

The press service said that Russia does not accept the customs declarations of the company.

Inkerman International said that importers of its products in Russia explain this by the fact that the Federal Customs Service of Russia has introduced new categories of risk during customs clearance of goods coming from Ukraine. Thus, customs procedures have become considerably more complicated, the company said.

Inkerman International Group is an international winemaking holding with a closed production cycle founded in early 2011. It incorporates Inkerman Fine Vintage Wine, Kachinsky+ LLC and private joint-stock company Chornomorets agrofirm. The total area of vineyards of all companies is 2,790 hectares.
