Energoatom to raise UAH 390 m from Prominvestbank

National Nuclear Generating Company Energoatom has selected Kyiv-based Prominvestbank to open a renewable credit line of UAH 390 million, reads a report of Energoatom in the Visnyk Derzhavnykh Zakupivel bulletin.

The report says that the offer was accepted on June 12, 2013, and the final agreement is to be signed by July 12, 2013.

The funds raised will be taken for one year from the moment of the signing of the credit agreement.

The cost of the servicing the line will be UAH 69.225 million (value added tax not included) or 17.75% per annum.

Oschadbank, which was ready to issue the funds at 20% per annum, and Subsidiary Bank Sberbank of Russia (both based in Kyiv) with the offer of 18.5% per annum took part in the tender.

Energoatom operates all four of the nuclear power stations in Ukraine, with fifteen generating units outfitted with water-cooled fast-breeder reactors with an installed generating capacity of 13.835 gigawatts.

Prominvestbank was founded in 1992. As of April 1, 2013, its largest shareholder was Russia's Vnesheconombank (97.85%).

Prominvestbank ranked fifth among 175 operating banks in Ukraine as of January 1, 2013, in terms of total assets worth UAH 41.318 billion, according to the National Bank of Ukraine.
