Ukraine in May 2013 imported 129 million cubic meters of natural gas from Poland, the press service of PJSC Ukrtransgaz said on Wednesday.

Thus, gas supplies from Poland to the Ukrainian gas transportation system (GTS) in May increased by 26.5% compared to April this year.

Ukraine also imports natural gas from Hungary.

In general, from November 2012 to June 1, 2013 the total supply of natural gas to the GTS through Poland and Hungary amounted to about 420 million cubic meters.

Given the fact that from November 2012 to May 1, 2013 the Ukrainian gas transportation system had received 291 million cubic meters of gas from Poland and Hungary, in May "reverse" imports were carried out only from Poland.

At the same time, according to Ukrtransgaz, in June 2013 Hungary resumed gas supplies and, according to preliminary data, 37.8 million cubic meters of gas was received from this direction in the current month.
