Managing Director of the Food For Impact Fund

Rob Monyak is the Managing Director of the Food For Impact Fund, bringing more than 30 years of international banking, agribusiness, and development finance experience to his role.

Before joining the fund, Rob served as Head of Corporate Strategy for a leading agribusiness logistics company operating across Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, and Switzerland. Earlier in his career, he spent 25 years in senior roles at U.S.-based banks and commercial finance institutions that partnered closely with the U.S. Development Finance Corporation (formerly OPIC), the Export-Import Bank of the United States, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. In those roles, he managed and structured loan-guarantee and project-finance programs supported by these agencies, helping expand private investment in the U.S. and across emerging markets.

Rob has structured and negotiated transactions throughout Eastern Europe and the successor states of the former Soviet Union, with a particular focus on agribusiness and infrastructure development. He also serves as a Senior Advisor to the Ukraine Future Business Council. Rob holds a B.A. in Political Science and Russian from Duke University and a Master’s degree in Political Science from Columbia University.
