Interfax-Ukraine to host press conference 'Topical Issues of Preserving the National Heritage in the Context of Granting of the Tomos to the OCU"
On Friday, January 4, at 11.00, the press center of the Interfax-Ukraine news agency will host a press conference entitled "Topical Issues of Preserving the National Heritage in the Context of Granting of the Tomos to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine." Religious organizations received hundreds of valuable cultural heritage sites all over Ukraine from the state: about 90% of this property was given to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, and the state of preservation of these unique monuments has come under sharp public criticism. What exactly and in which way should the state immediately do to preserve these most valuable monuments during the times of transformations in Ukrainian Orthodox Christianity? Participating will be MP Ihor Lutsenko, lawyer Maryna Solovyova, member of the St Andrew's — Peizazhna Initiative Iryna Nikanorova, and former director general of the National Kyiv Pechersk Historic and Cultural Reserve Serhiy Krolevets (8/5a Reitarska Street). Registration requires press accreditation.
