IMF returns joint declaration from Yuschenko, Tymoshenko for revision
A joint declaration by Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, and National Bank of Ukraine Governor Volodymyr Stelmakh sent to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has been returned for revision, according to the Dzerkalo Tyzhnia (Mirror of the Week) newspaper.
The statement sent by senior Ukrainian officials to the IMF management with the goal of getting a second tranche of the $16.5 billion loan has been returned to its senders for revision, without being considered by the fund's leadership.
According to unconfirmed reports, the letter was sent back to Ukraine due to the absence of preliminary agreement of its content with IMF officials.
There has been yet no official confirmation of the return of the letter for revision.
