Coalition to nominate Tarasiuk for foreign minister, says BYT MP

The parliamentary coalition will propose that Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko nominate Borys Tarasiuk for the post of Ukraine's foreign minister.

"We will nominate Borys Tarasiuk for the post of foreign minister," Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko MP Serhiy Mischenko told Interfax-Ukraine on Friday.

"I think that a coalition council will make a respective statement today," he said.

Mischenko also expressed hope that the whole faction of the Our Ukraine-People's Self-Defense Bloc would support the candidacy of Tarasiuk.
